Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) -- Meetings, round-table talks and film shows took place in Britain and Russia on September 17 and 23 on the 63rd anniversary of the DPRK.

Present at the events were officials of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and a company of the Russian Technical Glass Research Institute, personages of Novikombank and masses and the director general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea.

Dermot Hudson, chairman of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, said that President Kim Il Sung founded the DPRK, enabling the Korean people to successfully settle the issue of sovereignty.

Under the wise leadership of the President the DPRK successfully carried out the anti-imperialist, anti-feudal democratic revolution and the socialist revolution in a brief span of time and has turned into a socialist power centred on the popular masses freed from exploitation and oppression, he said.

Vishwanath, director general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea, referred to the undying feats the President performed by founding and strengthening the DPRK. He highly praised the President as the greatest man.

He called upon the Juche idea followers to conduct diverse work to significantly commemorate the centenary of birth of the President. Shrinskaya, deputy manager of Novikombank of Russia, said the DPRK is winning steady victories in the confrontation with the U.S. in the 21st century, too, thanks to the leadership of Kim Jong Il who is identical to Kim Il Sung and the leader's Songun politics.

She expressed belief that the Korean people would surely reach the eminence of a thriving nation under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il endowed with outstanding political caliber.

A letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the meeting in Britain.
