Pyongyang, September 29 (KCNA) -- The Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain on Sept. 18 posted on its Internet homepage "One Corea Network" an article introducing the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The article said: The world attention is focused on the DPRK after the Conference of the Workers' Party of Korea held in September 2010. This is because there took place events drawing attention of the international community after the conferences of the WPK were held in the DPRK in the past.

The conferences of the WPK held in March 1958 and in October 1966 opened a bright prospect for the Korean people and infused into them stronger conviction and courage and great achievements were registered in the overall economic construction after the conferences.

Since the party conference was held last year, signal progress has been made in metal, chemical, machine-building and light industries, fish breeding and pomiculture to strengthen the Juche-character of the national economy and pave a clear way for bringing about a turn in improving the standard of people's living.

Distinguished achievements have been made in the field of latest science and technology including IT, nano technology and bio- engineering and the construction of modern dwelling houses and land development have made brisk headway, changing the appearance of the country beyond recognition.

The international community will witness before long such eye-opening events in which the Korean people fling open the gate of a thriving nation under the leadership of the WPK.
