Pyongyang, September 29 (KCNA) -- The Workers' Party of Korea Publishing House brought out Vol. 98 of "Complete Collection of Kim Il Sung's Works", a library of the immortal Juche idea. The book contains Vol. 4 of President Kim Il Sung's reminiscences "With the Century". It comprehensively deals with the undying feats performed by the President and his personality as a great man. It tells stories about how he brought about a new surge in the overall Korean revolution centered on the anti-Japanese armed struggle under the uplifted banner of independence in the period from February 1935 to May 1936. In "Chapter 10 With the Conviction of Independence" the President recollected the fact that he strengthened the unity and cohesion of the revolutionary ranks by tiding over the crisis caused by the Japanese imperialists' vicious moves to alienate Koreans and the left-wing elements' reckless acts. It also relates stories about Laoheishan and Taipinggou battles which demonstrated the will of the Korean revolutionaries not to allow anyone to encroach upon the people. The book contains "Chapter 11 The Watershed of the Revolution" telling about the facts that he conducted positive military and political activities during the period of the second expedition to North Manchuria and led the struggle to expand and develop the Korean revolution on a new higher stage. He held a meeting of military and political cadres of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army in Nanhutou towards the end of February, 1936 at which he advanced tasks for strengthening and developing the anti-Japanese national liberation struggle on a higher stage and strategic policies to implement it. Included in the book is "Chapter 12 To Hasten the Liberation of the Country" which deals with facts that he bolstered the main units of the KPRA and brought about a landmark turn in the united front movement in the course of march from North Manchuria to Sobaeksu valley on the northern tip of Korea. He convened a meeting for founding the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland in Donggang as required by the revolutionary development and adopted the Ten-point Programme of the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland and a declaration of its foundation, announcing the birth of the permanent anti-Japanese national united front movement, the first of its kind in the history of the anti-Japanese national liberation struggle in Korea. This part of the book deals with the noble viewpoint on the younger generation of the President who provided the members of the Children's Corps in Maanshan with new clothes by spending 20 won, the money about which a touching story is told and brought them up in the crucible of the guerrilla warfare and the warm loving care he showed for his revolutionary comrade-in-arms Zhang Wei-hua and his descendants. |
