Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Friday editorially calls on all officials and Party members and other working people to thoroughly embody the militant spirit of the Korean People's Army, regarding it as an example, and thus bring about decisive progress in the drive for building a rich and prosperous country.

The militant spirit of the KPA is, in a word, one based on intense loyalty manifested in holding in high esteem their supreme commander most faithfully, truly and ardently, the editorial says, and goes on:

The servicepersons of the KPA have the strong spirit of dashing ahead through thick and thin to honor their pledges made to the Party, have such pluck as not fearing any formidable enemy and such persevering will as unfailingly carrying out whatever determined to do under any circumstances. This is their characteristic feature. Having such exceptionally strong revolutionary stamina, the KPA is known to be powerful units successfully carrying out any task at the highest level and a driving force steering the society and pushing ahead with the revolution.

Its struggle for implementing the orders and instructions given by the Party and leader is guided by the spirit of "At a Breath." It is its mettle to cross any river and mountain at a breath and attack any height and position of the enemy at a breath. The phrase "At a Breath" is suited to the pluck of the revolutionary Korean people and reflects heroic temperament of Songun Korea making a leap forward.

The said pluck has also been fully displayed in the drive for creation and construction.

"Let Us Take Responsibility for the Safety of the Projects and Guarantee Their Absolute Quality for All Eternity!" This slogan fully reflects soldier builders' noble view on future that they would build even a single structure for the benefit of the generations to come. This noble spiritual world serves as an example to be followed by us.

The editorial calls on all servicepersons and people to build a thriving socialist nation on this land by dint of single-minded unity under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.
