Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- Talks between Kim Kye Gwan, first vice foreign minister of the DPRK, and Andrey Denisov, first deputy foreign minister of Russia, were held in Pyongyang on Thursday.

Present at the talks from the DPRK side were officials of the Foreign Ministry and from the Russian side the first deputy foreign minister and his party and the Russian ambassador to the DPRK.

At the talks they had an in-depth exchange of views on the issue of boosting the bilateral relations in line with the spirit of the agreement reached at the meeting and talks between General Secretary Kim Jong Il and President Dmitri Anatoliyevich Medvedev and a series of international issues of mutual concern such as the issue of ensuring peace and security in the Korean Peninsula and rest of Northeast Asia and the nuclear issue and the six-party talks.
