Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- Minju Joson Saturday runs a signed commentary 65 years since the outbreak of the October popular uprising. It says: Through the uprising the south Korean people demonstrated all over the world their firm will not to live as colonial slaves of the U.S. Since then they have waged strenuous mass struggles including the popular uprising on Jeju Island, the Kwangju popular uprising and the June popular uprising. In recent years, too, the south Korean people have waged dynamic struggles in different forms and ways to regain the usurped sovereignty and dignity of the nation. Nevertheless, south Korea has not yet been freed from the domination of the U.S. and the south Korean people are groaning under the U.S. neo-colonial rule. The conservative group of south Korea steeped in flunkeyism towards the U.S. to the marrow of its bone is working desperately to do harm to the fellow countrymen while kowtowing to it. This group is hell-bent on its moves to hurt fellow countrymen, while clinging to the coattail of its American master that has put under its control all fields of south Korea including politics, military affairs, economy and culture. It is impossible to regain the usurped sovereignty and dignity of the nation, achieve independent reunification and escape war disasters as long as such group of traitors is allowed to stay in office. The south Korean people will mete out a stern punishment to the traitors in unity and thus realize the wishes of the participants in the October popular uprising. The conservative group is making a desperate bid to win come what may the upcoming "election" decisive of the "parliamentary election" and "presidential election" next year, but it will face only a stern judgment by the nation. |
