Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- A strong cyclone hit northern Philippines recently, causing damage.

It left 31 persons dead, inhabitants of more than 60,000 houses evacuated and caused huge economic losses as of Sept. 28.

The government is taking relief steps.
