Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- More than 6 000 Palestinians imprisoned in Israeli jails on Sept. 28 went on an open-ended hunger strike Wednesday and announced a comprehensive disobedience against the "inhuman measures" by the Israeli prison authorities.

The Palestinians say the prisoners were imprisoned as they were struggling against the Israeli military occupation. They condemned Israeli authorities for resorting to inhumane ill treatment.

They expressed the will to continue struggling till all the illegal measures taken by the Israeli authorities ruthlessly trampling down even the elementary rights of the prisoners have been totally withdrawn.
