Pyongyang, October 3 (KCNA) -- Chosan County in Jagang Province has taken on a new look.

The 20-km-long ridgeway leading to the county was doubled in width, flanked by more than 10 000 trees.

Neat and tidy dwelling houses, house of culture, gymnasium, hospital, library, health complex and other public buildings nestle in the town of the county.

The county cultivated several hundred hectares of new land to expand the crop area and built Hukbosan fertilizer factories to increase the fertility of soil.

It also built a power plant to supply electricity to the town and rural communities.

The country has a paper mill, wood cabinetmaking factory, textile mill, wine factory and other locally-run factories.
