Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy on Sept. 27 posted on its Internet homepage an article headlined "October 4 declaration, banner common to nation".

The inter-Korean summit was held and the Declaration for Development of North-South Relations and Peace and Prosperity was adopted in Pyongyang in October 2007, the article said, and went on:

This was an event to be specially recorded as it provided guidelines for ushering in a new era of independent reunification, peace and prosperity by expanding and developing the north-south relations on the basis of the June 15 joint declaration.

The adoption of the declaration was the fruition of the extraordinary wisdom and energetic leadership of Kim Jong Il.

All the Korean people are now filled with boundless pride and honor of holding Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the lodestar of national reunification and enthusiasm to implement the north-south joint declarations.

The inter-Korean relations are now in the grip of the worst crisis and the peace and security on the Korean Peninsula are gravely threatened because of the anti-DPRK confrontation policy of the south Korean authorities.

The south Korean authorities should roll back their anachronistic treacherous and anti-reunification policy for confrontation with the DPRK, respect the inter-Korean declarations and opt for improving the relations with the DPRK.

They should, at the same time, discontinue the moves for a war against the DPRK, stop the suppression of the pro-reunification patriots and repeal such evil laws as the "National Security Law".
