Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- The General Association of Koreans in China released the September issue of the magazine "Paektu-Halla."

The magazine carried a photo of General Secretary Kim Jong Il meeting with Russian President Dmitri Medvedev.

It carried news of the talks between them.

The magazine in an article congratulated Kim Jong Il on his successful visits to Russia and China.

It edited articles under the titles of "President Kim Il Sung's feats in nation-building", "General and CNC (3)" and "People's country."

It gave accounts of photo exhibition, round-table talks and other events sponsored by the Association and its affiliated branches to mark the first anniversary of Kim Jong Il's visit to China and the 66th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The Shenyang City Branch of the Association held a meeting denouncing the Japanese imperialists' fabrication of the "Korea-Japan Annexation Treaty", it said.

It also introduced statements made public by the Association and its branches to oppose and reject war exercises against the DPRK waged by the U.S. and the south Korean puppet warmongers.

Also seen in the magazine are a joint appeal made by the North, South and Overseas side committees for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration and news of anti-"government" struggle staged in Seoul by over 15,000 south Koreans from all walks of life.
