Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- The Indian paper Public News on Sept. 28 carried an article on the 85th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU).

The DIU was the first revolutionary organization formed by President Kim Il Sung, the founder of socialist Korea, the article said.

The Korean revolution which started with the DIU under the leadership of the President has dynamically advanced along the road of independence, Songun and unity for the past 85 years, it noted, and went on:

Independence is the fundamental principle and the basic stand of the Korean revolution and Songun is the immutable banner of the revolution which has most thoroughly applied the DIU's idea of anti-imperialist struggle.

In the whole period when the President led the Korean revolution he wisely led the army and people to strengthen the driving force of revolution and effect a new surge, bravely overcoming difficulties in their way with its might.

General Secretary Kim Jong Il has turned the DPRK into a country of single-minded unity and a large socialist family by inheriting the President's idea of unity, benevolent politics and politics of loving care.

Only victory and glory are always in store for socialist Korea, dignified with independence, powerful with Songun and unbreakable with single-minded unity.
