Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- General Secretary of the Arab League (AL) Nabil el-Arabi in a press conference on Sunday condemned the U.S. for obstructing Palestine's bid for UN full membership.

The U.S. Congress decision to block its aid to the Palestinians at a time when a bid for UN full membership was submitted is a political threat, he noted.

To become a full UN membership is the right of Palestine, he said, calling upon the member nations of the AL to increase financial aid to Palestine in response to the decision of U.S. Congress.

Arab countries will strive to expand international support for a Palestinian bid to the United Nations for a statehood, he stressed.
