Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- Rashed Khan Menon, chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh, made public a statement on Sept. 29 extending full support and solidarity to the just cause of the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people.

The statement said that the history of the WPK is a glorious history in which it turned the DPRK into a socialist power, independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence, and led to brilliant victory the cause of Korean-style socialism and the human cause of independence.

The WPK holding Kim Jong Il in high esteem as its general secretary has led the Korean revolution to victory, demonstrating the dignity as an eternal party of President Kim Il Sung, it said, adding:

The Korean people set a worldwide example in the struggle for defending the dignity and sovereignty of the country and building socialism.

We are sure that the WPK and the army and people of the DPRK under the distinguished leadership of Kim Jong Il would register greater success in the efforts for national reunification and socialist construction.
