Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- ITAR-TASS of Russia introduced on Tuesday the construction site in Mansudae area where the new Pyongyang Speed in the era of Songun is being created.

The agency said that new apartment houses are springing up in Mansudae area, the center of the capital city of the DPRK where the statue of President Kim Il Sung stands.

Structural construction of modern multistoried and skyscraping apartment houses is making rapid progress, it noted, and went on:

The construction is under way according to the plan of general secretary Kim Jong Il to turn Pyongyang into a more modern and beautiful city of people.

The construction is undertaken with locally produced materials, especially cement and steel. Best quality is ensured in the construction of all buildings, it added.

The construction of apartment houses in Pyongyang proves that the purpose of the policies of the Workers' Party of Korea is to promote the people's well-being.
