Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, addressing the 66th anniversary celebration of the Indonesian Military on Wednesday, referred to the issue of bolstering the defense capability.

"It is very important to develop the armament (for the military)," the president said, adding: The government would increase defense budget by 35 percent in 2012, compared with this year.

He said that the increased budget is aimed at developing the armament of the country's military forces and improving the living condition of the soldiers.
