Moscow, October 7 (KCNA) -- The Foreign Ministry of Russia in a commentary on October 6 bluntly rejected the U.S. decision to deploy missile defense system on the coast of Spain.

The U.S. decided to deploy on the coast of Spain four warships equipped with SM-3 interceptor missile and Aegis system. Russia is compelled to be vigilant against the U.S. current step to build missile defense system in Europe in a phased way, the commentary said.

The Russian government can never tolerate the U.S. measure to adopt the unreasonable decision which would adversely affect the regional security and stability without taking into consideration the opinions of all the countries concerned, it stressed.
