Pyongyang, October 10 (KCNA) -- General secretary Kim Jong Il received a congratulatory message from the Central Committee of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front (AINDF) on Monday, the 66th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

The founding of the WPK by President Kim Il Sung was the birth of a revolutionary party of new type guided by the Juche idea and a great event which gave a new origin to the national history, the letter said, adding:

The great revolutionary feats the President performed before the times and history by making an immortal contribution to the development of the WPK will shine long with the annuals of its shining victory.

Noting that the WPK has greeted the most brilliant heyday of its development under the guidance of Kim Jong Il, the great leader, the message highly praised the immortal feats he has performed in developing the Party into a prestigious revolutionary party.

He provided the historic June 15 joint declaration and its action programme, October 4 declaration, out of his ardent patriotism and broad magnanimity and energetically guided the movement for achieving the country's independent reunification through the effort of the Korean nation, it said, and went on:

His visits to China and Russia this year were landmark events for boosting international solidarity, developing traditional friendly relations among countries and defending global peace and security.

The AINDF could grow to be a patriotic vanguard guided by the immortal Juche idea and an invincible organization steering the movement of the people of different circles for independence, democracy and reunification.

It will declare a total failure of the anti-DPRK confrontation policy pursued by the pro-U.S. conservative forces and bring about a crucial phase of national reunification without fail by making strenuous efforts to implement the above-said declarations, a full embodiment of his idea and line of national reunification.
