Pyongyang, October 10 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification of south Korea held a press conference outside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Friday to disclose the unreasonable nature of the Free Trade Agreement with the U.S.

A press release was read out after a speech at the press conference.

It said the assistant secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs of the U.S. would visit south Korea to discuss the issue of the conclusion of the FTA.

The FTA is full of such poisonous clauses as opening of south Korean market of beef and farm products, the press release said, and went on:

The injustice of the FTA is clearly proved by 55 unequal clauses in the agreement harmful to south Korea.

If the FTA is concluded, the economy of south Korea would be more dependent on the U.S. and the life of the people deteriorated.

The chief executive is demanding the "National Assembly" pass the motion calling for the ratification of a proposal on the FTA timed to coincide with his U.S. visit.

The press release bitterly denounced the authorities' sycophantic behavior representing the interests of the U.S. only.
