Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries between Oct. 1 and 4 to mark the 66th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 85th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union.

They included a lecture in Sweden, a meeting and photo exhibition in France and an opening ceremony of ten-day Korean photo exhibition in Nigeria.

Displayed in their venues were photos showing the leadership feats performed by President Kim Il Sung and general secretary Kim Jong Il in party building and those introducing the course covered by the WPK.

Present there were personages of the Communist Party of Sweden, the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, the France-Korea Friendship Association and the Art and Cultural Council of the Ministry of Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria and popular masses.

The international secretary of the Communist Party of Sweden in a lecture entitled "Guide of Socialist Cause" said that the WPK founded by Kim Il Sung has developed into an invincible party enjoying support and trust from all Koreans.

The director of the Art and Cultural Council of the Nigerian ministry and other participants in the opening ceremony expressed conviction that the WPK would demonstrate its dignity as the eternal party of Kim Il Sung as it is led by Kim Jong Il.
