Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) -- Some time ago, the south Korean authorities held an event marking the "Day of ROK army". At its end they staged exercises for crossing the 38th Parallel and the River Rakdong with the flag of the DPRK and "enemy troops" in uniforms of the Korean People's Army as their targets, reminiscent of the last Korean War period.

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

This was a very dangerous saber-rattling aimed to seriously mar the atmosphere of detente and increase the danger of war as it was a clear manifestation of their inveterate hostility towards the DPRK.

Their holding of an event marking "Day of ROK army," symbolic of their invasion of the DPRK, at a time when efforts are being exerted for dialogue and detente on the Korean Peninsula cannot but be a grave provocation to the DPRK.

This reckless saber-rattling is part of the traitorous "north policy" of the south Korean conservative authorities who have persistently pursued confrontation and war, opposed to the process to improve the north-south relations. The madcap war exercises staged by the puppet forces with the flag of the DPRK as their target go to clearly prove once again what reckless pitch their hostility toward fellow countrymen and ambition for invading the DPRK have reached.

The warmongers would be well advised to behave themselves.

The above-said saber-rattling is nothing but a ridiculous ruckus reminding one of a puppy knowing no fear of the tiger.

If the south Korean warmongers persist in their military provocations defying the warning of the DPRK, they will not escape a miserable end in face of the merciless strikes by the angry army and people of the DPRK.
