Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- Cambodian radios aired commemorative programs on the fourth anniversary of the October 4 declaration.

FM 90.5 Radio said on October 3 that the October 4 declaration is a programme for comprehensively implementing the June 15 joint declaration which was adopted in 2000.

The declaration clarified the will of the north and the south of Korea to defend and positively implement the June 15 joint declaration, it noted, and went on:

The October 4 declaration reaffirmed the idea of "By our nation itself", the basic spirit of the June 15 joint declaration.

The declaration stressed the need to settle the reunification question independently in the idea of "By our nation itself" and orient everything to protecting the dignity and interests of the nation, etc.

It advanced a reasonable way of implementing the June 15 joint declaration.

It widely reflected all the issues of achieving the relations between the north and the south and the peace of the Korean Peninsula, prosperity common to the nation and reunification.

It is the unanimous aspiration and will of all the Koreans for ushering in a new era of national prosperity and independent reunification to pool will and efforts and thoroughly defend and implement the October 4 declaration in the idea of "By our nation itself" indicated by the June 15 joint declaration.
