Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- The Taean Heavy Machine Complex honored its plan for 2011 at 103.5 % till Sunday.

Officials, workers and technicians of the complex carried out its January assignment in a matter of little over 10 days at 101.5 % and surpassed the level of peak production year in February.

The processing of turbine blades rose 1.2 times and the production of turbine shafts and generator shafts and other major components three times as compared with those last year.

They also increased the assembling speed of generating equipment such as generator poles, shafts and rotator frame 1.5 times.

Extra-large machine tools have been put on a CNC basis, processing turbine and generator blades in a matter of a few days which would have taken a month before.

The quality of insulating material has significantly improved.

The complex finished the production of generating equipment for the Huichon Power Station by the end of August.

The workers and technicians of the complex are making uninterrupted innovations and advance, proud of having honored this year's assignment on the occasion of the founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.
