Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Progress of south Korea issued a statement on Monday in denunciation of the authorities' suppression of progressive figures on the strength of the "National Security Law".

The statement noted that the Prosecution reclaimed the examination of the arrest warrants for the co-chairman and general secretary of the Solidarity for Democracy, People's Life, Peaceful Reunification and Sovereignty and other members of the organization.

In May the Prosecution tried to arrest and put them into custody on charges of violation of the NSL only to be dismissed, the statement said, and went on:

It is now thinking detaining them again after the lapse of five months.

This suppression is just aimed to make actual results in line with the call of the chief prosecutor for the "liquidation of the left faction".

The statement urged the prosecution authorities to immediately stop the moves to detain the members of solidarity, while calling for stopping the fascist suppression of progressive forces and reunification activists.
