Pyongyang, October 13 (KCNA) -- A joint seminar was held in Sankt-Peterburg, Russia on October 5 on the 66th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

At the seminar the general secretary of the International Alliance of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy in East European and Central Asian Regions made a written report titled "Founding of WPK, a landmark event in revolutionary cause of Juche".

President Kim Il Sung founded the WPK in October 1945, making it possible for the Korean revolution to more dynamically advance along the road of victory, the reporter said.

An independent and sovereign state was founded and the socialist revolution was successfully carried out under the leadership of the WPK, he noted.

Since general secretary Kim Jong Il started leading the party work, the WPK has grown stronger organizationally and ideologically and as the general staff of the revolution it has powerfully aroused all the party members and other working people to socialist construction, he said, and continued:

The WPK is exercising great influence on the international community together with the august name of Kim Il Sung.

The chairwoman of the Kim Jong Suk Women's Union of Russia said: The Songun politics pursued by Kim Jong Il serves as an all-powerful treasured sword. The culture and arts of the DPRK are in full bloom with the revolutionary soldier culture as an example.

The chairman of the All-Russian Society for the Study and Dissemination of Kimilsungism said that the WPK is making a steady victorious advance despite any storm and stress because it has pursued the Songun politics based on the Juche idea and the Songun idea.

A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the seminar.
