Pyongyang, October 13 (KCNA) -- The Central Zoo, situated at the foot of picturesque Mt. Taesong in Pyongyang, has drawn many people after being reconstructed on an expansion basis. The zoo covering more than 100 hectares has 66 sheds for rare animals from different countries. An overpass was built around the outdoor beast playground consisting of rocks, forest and pool so that visitors can enjoy romping beasts. An aquarium houses many kinds of rare fish. What is the most popular place in the zoo is where chimpanzees, monkeys and pet dogs perform tricks. The zoo is furnished with a restaurant, beverage store, souvenir shop, amusement hall and other service facilities, as well as a modern veterinary hospital. |
