Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- Newspapers and magazines of different countries carried special write-ups on the 66th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 85th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU). The Mongolian newspaper Mongolyn Unen on Oct. 6 carried a photo of President Kim Il Sung and general secretary Kim Jong Il and the following article titled "66th Founding Anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea": The WPK is demonstrating its might as a dignified invincible party in international arena. This would be unthinkable without the feats performed by the President. After embarking upon the road of revolution in his early years, the President mapped out a plan to form a genuine vanguard organization to lead the anti-Japanese national liberation movement and inaugurated the DIU with young revolutionaries of Korea on Oct. 17, 1926. The WPK originated from the DIU. The President set forth the policy of party founding at the historic Kalun meeting in 1930 and made brisk preparations for it in the crucible of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle. He founded the WPK on Oct. 10, 1945 after Korea's liberation. The feats performed by him will shine forever with the WPK, the organizer and guide of all victories of the Korean people. The Thai newspaper Xing San Daily on Oct. 5 devoted one whole page to the article titled "Steady Victories of Workers' Party of Korea and Their Secret" and a portrait of Kim Jong Il. The paper referred to the secret of the WPK's demonstration of its might as an ever-victorious party in the international arena, adding that it will always emerge victorious as it is led by Kim Jong Il. The October issue of the Palestinian magazine Ilal Amam carried "85th Anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union" and other articles with photos of Kim Jong Il. |
