Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, and Choe Yong Rim, premier of the Cabinet, on Oct. 10 received a message sent by Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of China, Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress, and Wen Jiabao, premier of the State Council, in reply to their message of greeting.

The message said:

Please accept our thanks to you for sending a message warmly congratulating us on the 62nd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The party and government of China will continue directing sustained efforts to boosting the Sino-DPRK relations of friendship and cooperation.

The Chinese side will join the DPRK side in making concerted efforts to inject fresh dynamism and vitality into the traditional Sino-DPRK friendship in the new period and under the new situation and bring well-being to the two countries and peoples.

It is our sincere hope that the party, government and people of the DPRK will register fresh greater successes in the overall work for building a thriving nation.
