Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Democracy, People's Life, Peaceful Reunification and Sovereignty of south Korea denounced the puppet group for its harsh suppression of the organization. It issued a statement on Oct. 10.

The prosecution authorities recently reclaimed the examination of the arrest warrants for the co-chairman, the secretary general and other members of the organization, the statement said, adding:

The arrest warrants for them submitted by the prosecution in May on charges of the violation of the "National Security Law" (SL) were turned down because of the lack of evidence, a clear proof for the prosecution's harsh suppression.

The prosecution is again raising the issue, saying they violated the SL.

This is a trite hoax cooked up by the authorities to tide over serious ruling crisis.

The recent clampdown is aimed to bar the progressive forces from achieving solidarity and alliance with the Oct. 26 election to the Seoul mayor just around the corner.

The statement urged the present regime and the prosecution to immediately stop the crackdown on the members of the Solidarity.
