Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- Internet paper of Koreans in the U.S. Minjok Thongsin carried an article urging south Korean Vice Minister of Unification Om Jong Sik to step down, branding him as a pro-U.S. sycophantic element kowtowing to the U.S.

WikiLeaks recently disclosed that he had been active as an intelligence agent of the U.S., said the article.

Data he conveyed while frequenting the U.S. embassy were handled as special intelligence, it added.

It is hard to achieve the country's reunification as long as such pro-U.S. sycophantic traitors as Om are allowed to hold important posts of the "government," the article deplored.

It urged Om to resign at once for his crimes of having served the U.S. as its spy and servant.
