Tehran, October 13 (KCNA) -- Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson denounced Tuesday the West's recent decision to slap sanctions on Iran.

As regards the West's decision to apply sanctions against 29 Iranian government officials, the spokesperson branded it as an improper and a politically-motivated measure aimed to put pressure on Iran.

The West presses Iran to give up its right, the spokesperson said, stressing that the West should respect the rights of other countries and not interfere in their internal affairs.
