Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon,) the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration, the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification and other civic and social organizations in south Korea held the 145th action for independent reunification and peace on October 11 outside the U.S. embassy in Seoul.

The organizations accused the authorities of stepping up the moves for concluding the humiliating FTA with the U.S.

It is clear from the contents of the agreement that south Korea has no right to complain to the U.S. court over issues arising in trade.

The inequality in the terms of the FTA is beyond imagination as proven by the fact that all business activities are subject to the U.S. acts.

The organizations deplored that the SOFA which prevents courts of south Korea from properly punishing those GI criminals against its people clearly shows the unequal relations between the U.S. and south Korea.

To put an end to these unequal relations it is necessary to resolutely oppose the FTA, totally revise the humiliating SOFA and force the U.S. forces to quit south Korea, they held.

Then they thrust a protest letter to the U.S. embassy.

Meanwhile, the opposition parties and civic organizations in south Korea held a meeting on October 12 outside the building of the puppet National Assembly at which they clarified their will to block the moves for the conclusion of the FTA, according to the south Korean KBS.
