Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, had a talk with the delegation of the Lao Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism led by Minister Bosengkham Vongdara when the latter paid a courtesy call on him at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Friday.

The head of the delegation said that the meeting between President Choummaly Sayasone and general secretary Kim Jong Il in September was a great event in developing the friendly relations between the two parties and countries provided by President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Kim Il Sung.

We hope that the Korean people would register greater success in the efforts to defend the country, build socialism and achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country under the wise guidance of Kim Jong Il, he said.

He expressed the will to boost exchange and cooperation in information and thus contribute to strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries.
