Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- Than Tun, general director for Administrative Affairs of the Union of Myanmar Economic Holdings Limited, made public a statement on Oct. 7 on the 31st anniversary of the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo (DFRK).

Noting international community is becoming vocal in its assertion that the Korean Peninsula should be reunified by federal formula, he said:

President Kim Il Sung set forth the proposal for founding the DFRK at the 6th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea in October 1980.

This reunification proposal serves as one of the three pillars and three charters for national reunification.

The best way of reunifying Korea is to establish a unified state by federal formula based on one nation, one state, two systems and two governments.

All Koreans in the north, south and overseas are fully supporting the proposal.

Events have taken place in the world every year to support the proposal.

Political parties and organizations and figures of different countries are vying each other to release statements in support of the proposal for achieving reunification by federal formula.

The proposal for founding the DFRK is the most just and aboveboard one for the reunification of Korea.
