Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Democracy, People's Life, Peaceful Reunification and Sovereignty of south Korea held a press conference in Seoul on October 12 denouncing the puppet prosecution authorities for suppressing its members.

At the conference the speakers said the prosecution authorities reclaimed the examination of the arrest warrants for the members of the organization which had been turned down for the lack of evidence some months before.

In the face of a ruling crisis by its move for the conclusion of a humiliating agreement with the U.S. and ever-increasing graft and corruption, the authorities are making desperate efforts to find a way-out in clamping down on the progressive forces, they said.

The suppression of the progressive forces to bar them from getting united will, however, result in accelerating the collapse of the authorities, they warned.

All the progressive forces would struggle in unity against the authorities which count on the "National Security Law" in the crackdown, they stressed.

The preparatory committee for June 15 students committee of Chonnam National University issued a statement the same day condemning the puppet authorities' fascist suppression of the progressive organization.
