Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- The south Korean newspaper Hangyore Thursday ran an article denouncing the Socho District authorities in Seoul for sycophancy towards the chief executive.

The article said the Socho District authorities are now pushing ahead with the construction of sports facilities including a tennis court near a house in Naegok-dong to be used by the chief executive after his retiring from office.

The district authorities asserted they had nothing to do with the chief executive, but this allegation has been rejected for this or that reason, the paper said.

It emerged through media that there was no item about the construction of the sports facilities in Naegok-dong in the district's "2011 budget" worked out at the end of last year, said the paper.

This has prompted a flurry of suspicion and criticism from broad segments of south Koreans, it added.
