Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- Personages of Malta and Peru praised the feats performed by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in building and leading the Workers' Party of Korea on the 66th anniversary of the founding of the WPK.

John Jamit, chairman of the Malta-Korea Friendship Association, and its Secretary General Jean-Pierre, said in a joint statement on October 10 that Kim Il Sung is the benevolent father of the people of the DPRK as he established a socialist society centered on the popular masses where the popular masses are the masters of everything and everything serves them.

The statement continued:

The people of the DPRK are waging an all-out drive to improve the standard of people's living under the guidance of Kim Jong Il.

We are convinced that the WPK's cause of building a thriving nation would be surely accomplished to provide its people with a happier life.

The great feats performed by the President for strengthening and developing the WPK and for the people would always be remembered by the world progressive people.

Julio Cesar Pantigoso Barretto, president of a branch of Peruvian-Korean Institute of Culture and Friendship, noted in a statement that the WPK is the most revolutionary party in the world as it was founded by the President and is wisely led by Kim Jong Il.

The Peruvian people extend warm congratulations to Kim Jong Il who has defended the sovereignty of the DPRK and inflicted a serious defeat upon the U.S. imperialists and other reactionaries of the world with his brilliant wisdom and energetic revolutionary activities, he said.
