Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- Personages of Ethiopia and Egypt issued statements respectively between Oct. 7 and 8 on the occasions of the 66th birthday of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 85th anniversary of the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU). Nigatu Dagnachew, chairman of the Ethiopian Youth Study Group of the Juche Idea, said that the glorious history of the WPK would be unthinkable without the august name of President Kim Il Sung, adding: The President formed the DIU in 1926, heralding the start of Korean revolution. The DIU became precious historic roots of the WPK. After Korea's liberation he founded the WPK, organizer and guide of all victories for the Korean people, and consolidated it as an invincible one. Leader Kim Jong Il, the successor to the revolutionary cause of the President, made sure that the WPK shed its rays forever with the President's august name. The Korean people have made a lot of successes in socialist construction under the leadership of the WPK having Kim Jong Il as its general secretary. They will fling open the gate to a thriving nation without fail as they are led by Kim Jong Il. Yehia Zakaria Khairullah, chairman of the Egyptian Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, said that the WPK has developed into a party having tested leadership art and a party deeply rooted among the people in the course of its protracted struggle, adding: The WPK's might was strikingly demonstrated in the struggle to foil the imperialists' moves to stifle socialist Korea and overcome all sorts of trials caused by several years of natural disasters after the demise of the President. The WPK has led the Korean people to dynamically advance along the road of prosperity under the uplifted banner of Songun. The supreme principle of the WPK's activity is to improve the standard of the people's living and its starting point is the President's idea of believing in people as in Heaven. |
