Protesters blamed the financial crisis now sweeping Europe mainly on the greedy financial capitalists and corrupt politicians. In Rome of Italy hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets, shouting slogan "Occupy Wall Street". This created confusion, leaving service facilities closed and subway traffic stopped. In Berlin of Germany tens of thousands of protesters took demonstration, marching toward the Chancellor's Office. In Tokyo of Japan protesters marched along streets, carrying placards with such letters as "Occupy Tokyo" and "End to poverty". Shout "Show that society changes if the poor lift up their voice" was heard from among the demonstrators. In Sydney, Melbourne and other major cities of Australia thousands of people took part in the Occupy Wall Street demonstration. Emergency alert was issued in major cities of various countries due to those demos and there were clashes between the police and protesters.
