Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- The Kyunghyang Daily News of south Korea carried an editorial titled "Ratification of south Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement without relief measures is as good as suicide" on Friday.

Recently U.S. Congress approved a "bill on implementation of FTA." Keeping pace with it, the present "government" and the ruling party of south Korea are seeking to pass a "motion calling for ratification of FTA" through the "National Assembly" within this month, the editorial charged.

e can never agree with this stand that "U.S. passed, so south Korea should do", it said, adding:

It would be a heinous crime in history if they pass the motion, loudly advertising that the agreement would bring great benefit.

The contents of the agreement reflect only the interests of the U.S. This shows that the negotiations have gone in unequal relationship.

So, it is natural for the people to reject the FTA, calling it drain on resources for the U.S.

Railroading of the motion should never be allowed.
