Moscow, October 16 (KCNA) -- Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin recently said the country had overcome the difficult days caused by the global economic and financial crisis.

He announced that the government had halved the number of people living below the poverty line and nearly doubled the scope of the country's economy than before the outbreak of the crisis.

"The government will, in the future, too, attain utmost results in developing the country's economy and its social spheres. To this end, it will consolidate the state management system," he added.
