Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- A friendly gathering between the delegation of Changdok School of the DPRK and teachers and students of Jilin Yuwen Middle School of China took place at Jilin Yuwen Middle School on October 13.

The delegation is staying in China to attend an event marking the first anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's visit to the school.

Present at the gathering were the Changdok School delegation led by Vice-Principal Hwang Mi Suk, Korean students studying at Jilin Yuwen Middle School and Director He Manli and teachers and students of the school.

The participants laid a floral basket before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the school and made bows to him.

They looked round the school building preserved in its original state, being briefed on historic relics there including desk and chair used by the President during his days at this school.

An art performance was given by students of Changdok School and Korean students studying at Jilin Yuwen Middle School.

The participants talked to each other about the matter of developing the relations between the schools associated with the President's revolutionary activities, deepening friendship.
