WPK Praised Abroad

Pyongyang, October 19 (KCNA) -- Foreign media reported about the 66th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 85th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union. They included Myanmar, Egypt, Syria, Indonesia and Cambodia. The October 7th issue of the Myanmar newspaper The City News said in an article titled "Immortal Exploits Performed for Revolutionary Party Building" that the WPK is a glorious party that blazed a trail and set a brilliant model in building a revolutionary party in the era of independence. Today the Korean people are developing the WPK into the eternal party of President Kim Il Sung, rallied close around leader Kim Jong Il, it said. The October 10th issue of the Egyptian newspaper Al-Misaiya noted that the WPK has turned into a party of seasoned leadership ability, a party receiving absolute trust and support from the popular masses in the course of its protracted struggle. The starting point of all the activities of the WPK is an idea of believing in the people as in Heaven, an idea adhered to by the President. This has helped the WPK to advance victoriously without the slightest vacillation and strike its roots deep in the hearts of the people, it added. The Syrian newspaper Al Baath and the Indonesian newspaper Suara Karya in their October 9th issues explained a key to the WPK emerging ever-victorious. F. M. 90.5 Radio of Cambodia said on October 7 that Kim Jong Il unfolded a gigantic plan of building a great prosperous and powerful country before the Korean people. A broadcasting of the country also aired the same content on October 8. |
