S. Korean Organizations Urge Japan to Settle Past
|
|
Pyongyang, October 20 (KCNA) -- The society of bereaved families of the Pacific war victims in south Korea and other civic and public organizations held a rally outside the Japanese embassy on Oct 18, denouncing Japan for its past crimes. They accused Japan of evading the responsibilities for causing untold miseries and pain to the Korean nation. What Japan should do first is to take emergency measures to make reparation to those who were forcibly drafted during the Japanese imperialists' rule of Korea. The south Korean Solidarity for Protecting Tok Islet, too, held a rally outside the Japanese embassy the same day to demand the immediate abolition of the "Takeshima Day", which Japan set as part of the moves to plunder Tok Islets, and the settlement of the past crimes. |
