Those from South Hamgyong Province Visit Mangyongdae

Pyongyang, October 20 (KCNA) -- Officials, labor innovators, scientists and technicians from South Hamgyong Province visited Mangyongdae, cradle of the revolution, on Thursday. They laid bunches of flowers before the graves of Kim Po Hyon and Ri Po Ik, grandparents of President Kim Il Sung, and Kim Hyong Jik and Kang Pan Sok, parents of the President, and observed a moment's silence. They went to the President's birthplace. Being briefed on the revolutionary life of the President and the family members of Mangyongdae, they looked round historic relics. After going round revolutionary relics on Mangyong Hill, they looked across Pyongyang which is taking up new appearance with each passing day. They also visited the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong on the same day. They laid bouquets and flowers before the bust of Kim Jong Suk, anti-Japanese war hero, and paid tribute to her. |
