Beijing, October 19 (KCNA) -- He Guoqiang, secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of China, called for strengthening oversight and inspection of economic sectors.

Speaking at a meeting held recently to review the supervision over economic sectors, he said that the work is a serious and long-term undertaking for promoting the economic development and that it needs intensified guidance and close cooperation as it involves many sectors and has much to be done.

It is necessary to properly review the experience gained in the work and strengthen supervision to provide a definite guarantee for a fast and successful socio-economic development, the secretary added.
