Pyongyang, October 21 (KCNA) -- The Socialist Party of Romania posted on its Internet website an article on October 6 to mark the 66th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 85th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union.

The article said:

The WPK is demonstrating its might as a steel-strong party and an invincible party in the world community. This is unthinkable without the exploits of President Kim Il Sung.

The President formed the DIU with the revolutionaries of the new generation of Korea on October 17, 1926.

The formation of the DIU served as a starting point for founding a party of new type, a revolutionary party of Juche-type in Korea.

Kim Il Sung set forth the line of founding a revolutionary party at the historic meeting in Kalun in 1930.

Noteworthy here was the method of founding a party by forming basic organizations first and steadily strengthening them.

According to this line the Korean revolutionaries made brisk preparations for founding the party in the flames of the hard-fought anti-Japanese war for the country's liberation.

Kim Il Sung founded the party immediately after the country's liberation on the basis of the organizational and ideological preparations for the party founding that were made in the period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.

After its foundation the WPK has pushed forward the drive to build a new society and socialism centred on the popular masses guided by the Juche idea.

Today the WPK is demonstrating its might as an organizer and guide of the Korean people for all their victories under the wise leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
