Pyongyang, October 21 (KCNA) -- The Grand People's Study House is located on Namsanjae Hill in downtown Pyongyang.

The ten-storied building of Korean style, built at the proposition of President Kim Il Sung, covers 100,000 square meters.

General Secretary Kim Jong Il paid deep concern to the construction and operation of the study house and sent a large number of valuable books to it on many occasions.

The building houses local books and materials and foreign scientific and technological books, patent books, videos, and recorded and CD materials.

It, with a library capacity of tens of millions of books, has 23 reading rooms, 14 lecture rooms, several information rooms, question-and-answer rooms and music rooms.

Any people can enjoy free reading and education services at the study house.

Some time ago, the study house launched the tele-education service for local people throughout the country.

The study house is playing a big role in displaying the vitality of the Workers' Party of Korea's policy of all-people education.
