Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- Ali Houdou, president of the Socialist Party of Benin, was interviewed by KCNA on Thursday at the end of his visit to the DPRK.

He said:

I was deeply impressed to learn about the history and experience of the struggle of the Workers' Party of Korea.

President Kim Il Sung founded the WPK and developed it into the party winning absolute support and trust from the popular masses.

Today the WPK is displaying its dignity under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The WPK has become a model of the progressive parties in the struggle for independence.

Denouncing the imperialists for intensifying the moves to stifle the DPRK, he went on:

The Korean people closely united around the WPK are dynamically advancing under the uplifted banner of Songun.

The Socialist Party of Benin will earnestly learn from the experience of the WPK which has firmly defended socialism in the forefront of anti-imperialist struggle.

I extend full support and solidarity to the just cause of the WPK.

I will make positive efforts to further develop the friendly relations between the two parties.
