Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- The appearance of Jagang Province in the DPRK is changing day by day in the era of Songun.

Officials and other working people in the province are reporting successes in the land and city management.

Hundreds of kilometers of roads in the province have been paved or repaired and the areas around them spruced up successfully.

The appearance of Ryongrim County has changed beyond recognition. The people of the county built a county cultural house, swimming pool, noodle house, public service facilities and more than a thousand new dwelling houses appeared in the township.

The people in Kanggye and Manpho paved tens of km of roads or improved them, built new houses and carried out tens of thousands of square meters of roofing, drastically changing their appearance.

Usi County was seriously destroyed by natural disaster last year. But, the people there built hundreds of new houses, a park and swimming pool and decorated streets with lights in a peculiar manner in a matter of less than one year.

Officials and other working people in Chosan County turned out as one and built catering and public service facilities in a short span of time and constructed modern socialist villages in different parts of the county.

Huichon City and Tongsin, Junggang, Janggang, Wiwon, Hwaphyong, Rangrim, Songgan, Jonchon and Songwon counties painted all the buildings with bright colors, laid out green belts, covered catering network with new tiles and installed street-lamps, dramatically changing their looks.
